Global Equity Portfolio
The Global Equity strategy invests in all developed and emerging markets using a proprietary top-down country allocation strategy and a proprietary bottom-up stock selection process.
EAFE Plus Equity Portfolio
The EAFE Plus Equity strategy invests in non-U.S. developed and emerging markets using U.S.-traded instruments (ETFs and ADRs) based on a proprietary top-down country allocation strategy.
International Equity Portfolio
The International Equity strategy invests in non-U.S. developed and emerging markets using a proprietary top-down country allocation strategy and a proprietary bottom-up stock selection process.
EMTAC Equity Portfolio
The Emerging Market Tactical Allocation (EMTAC) strategy invests in emerging markets using U.S.-traded instruments (ETFs and ADRs) based on a proprietary top-down country allocation strategy.

Vijay K. Chopra, PHD, CFA
Dr. Vijay Chopra is managing director of quantitative research. Previous to Lebenthal, he held similar positions at Roosevelt, Mesirow Financial, and Bear Stearns. He was a Managing Partner at VKC Investments. Prior to VKC Investments, Dr. Chopra was first a portfolio manager at Deutsche Asset Management, where he co-managed $4.5 billion in global and regional equity portfolios, and then at Jacobs Levy Equity Management where he co-managed over $13.0 billion in institutional active global/international equities. He also held senior portfolio management positions at State Street Global Advisors and Bankers Trust Company. Dr. Chopra started his investment career as senior research analyst with Frank Russell Company.
Dr. Chopra holds a Doctorate and MBA in Finance from Vanderbilt University, a CFA charter, and an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology.
John J. Mullin PHD
Dr. John Mullin is the global investment strategist.
Previous to Lebenthal, he was a senior member of the International Equity team at Roosevelt, Mesirow Financial, and Bear Stearns. Prior to Bear Stearns, John served as chief equity strategist for ABN AMRO’s Americas Division; chief Latin American equity strategist for Salomon Brothers; and global quantitative equity analyst for Smith Barney. Prior to that, he worked as a senior international economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.
He earned his doctorate from UCLA in economics and bachelor’s degree from the University of California at Berkeley.
Charles Waters is a research analyst who develops global equity allocation models and provides investment research. Before joining Lebenthal, he was employed with Bank of New York Mellon and Fascet LLC, a technology company creating customized technology solutions for Investment Managers. He has more than 6 years of industry experience and holds a BA in Economics as well as International Relations from Boston University.
Leila B. Heckman PHD
Dr. Leila Heckman is a highly regarded global strategist with twenty-five years of experience. She heads the International Equity team for Lebenthal and is the founder of Heckman Global Advisors, the independent research unit of Lebenthal Asset Management.
Previous to Lebenthal, she led the International Equity teams at Roosevelt, Mesirow Financial, and Bear Stearns. Between 1993 and 2003, she was Managing Director of Global Asset Allocation at Citigroup Smith Barney, where she built a preeminent team that was ranked #l or #2 by Institutional Investor’s annual global poll for four years in a row. She also served as a voting member of the Investment Policy Committee and Asset Allocation Committee of Citigroup Smith Barney. During her career, Dr. Heckman was Vice President at Alliance Bernstein, where she developed sophisticated strategic asset allocation models.
Dr. Heckman has a BA from Brown, a MS in Operations Research from Cornell, and a PhD from NYU Polytechnic.
